Carrie Britton-Johnson passed away on July 18, 2018 in her home in Bonney Lake. She was 45 years old. Carrie was born in Seattle, Washington in 1973. She graduated from John F. Kennedy High School and went on to earn her Associate’s Degree at South Seattle Community College. She married Tony Johnson in 1997 and moved to Bonney Lake in 2001. Carrie worked many jobs in here life including being a school bus driver for Puyallup and White RIver School DIstricts, but she found her passion working as a specialized paraeducator working with special needs students. Carrie was involved with many organizations such as Friends of Russell, Panther Parent Pride, Buckley Eagles Women’s Auxiliary and the Bonney Lake Football Boosters as well as working with the St. Aloysius Parish as an altar server. She raised three boys, Eric, Nate, and Ryan as well as acting as a “second mom” to all of her boys’ friends. She enjoyed working in her yard, thrift shopping, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, Tony, sons, Eric, Nate, and Ryan, her mother Barbara Britton, her sisters Carol LaBlanc and Jerrie Pozzobon, her brother Ken Britton, as well as her numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and other extended family. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 26 at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 1401 Valley Ave. E. Sumner, WA. 98390. A reception will follow at the church. Interment will be at 2 p.m. at Gethsemane Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Friends of Russell, an organization Carrie was very passionate about. All uniformed personnel are encouraged to wear Class A uniforms.
