Coni Fawley (Carol Janet Connors) born October 10, 1936 in Newton, Massachusetts died February 6, 2015 in Bradenton, Florida at the age of 78 years after a life well lived. In the words of her children, Coni was an extraordinarily strong, vibrant woman who lived life to the fullest. On September 28, 1995, Coni married Rick Fawley on Sentinel Dome in Yosemite National Park. They met through their mutual love of hiking, mountaineering and backpacking. Their love blossomed into a twenty-year marriage filled with love and devotion to each other and to their blended families. Sharing a mutual love of community and nature, they moved through this life as one. Coni had a special place in her heart for the advancement of women. Having moved to California as a young woman, Coni attended nursing school and later received a degree in Business from San Jose State University. While in California, Coni excelled in real estate and business development. After moving to Florida, she was Vice President of Marketing at Fawley Bryant Architects until she retired in 2003. Coni is survived by her husband Rick; children: Patrick and wife Tammy Coleman, Robin Morrison, Kelly and husband Mark Fujishin, Erik and wife Todene Coleman, and Zachary and wife Vanessa Fawley; grandchildren: Erika Coleman and partner Mike Bracken, Jenna Morrison and partner Kameron Cundiff, Paige and husband Andy Jackson, Wesley, Kellen, Connor and Coleman Fujishin, Keira and Teagan Coleman, Jackson, Natalie, and Violet Fawley; great-grandson Jericho Jackson and sister-in-law Jacqueline Welch. A private celebration of life shall be held in Florida and Colorado at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Goodwill Manasota, Inc., the South Florida Museum or Tidewell Hospice.
