Margaret Ann Rose
October 24th, 1940 - February 28th, 2016
Margaret Ann Meade Rose, of Weber City, went to be with the Lord (February 28th, 2016) at Holston Valley Medical Center. A native of Scott County, she has lived in this area all of her life. She was a member of Culbertson's Chapel United Methodist Church. Margaret worked at Eastman Chemical for 10 years after that time, she was a housewife. If she was there, it was said, "She was the life of the party." She was preceded in death by her husband of many years, Vincent Rose; parents, Ivyl and Nannie Castle Meade; niece, Denise Rose; brother-in-law, Fred Stallard. She is survived by sisters, Beulah Fuller and husband Silas of Knoxville, Dorothy Stallard of Nickelsville, Bernice Melton and husband Jim of Kingsport, Mary Addington and husband, Roger of Nickelsville, Earnie Meade and wife Carolyn of Kingsport; special nephew, whom she loved as a son, Brad Addington, special niece, Joy Vicars; other nieces and nephews, Patty Smith, Mitzi Sturgill, Johnny Fuller, Scott Melton and Craig Meade; along with several great nieces and great nephews; special neighbors, Jody and Susan Wolfe, Whitney McConnell, Annie Ford; special friends, Clarice Meade and Ila Beard and sister in law, Lois Rose. The family will receive friends from 5 till 7pm Wednesday (March 3rd, 2016) at Scott County Funeral Home. A service will follow at 7pm with Rev. Joe Barber and Rev. Faith Ramer officiating. A graveside service will be conducted at 11am Thursday (March 4th, 2016) at Holston View Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Craig Meade, Scott Melton, Eddie Smith, Paul Sturgill, Jody Wolfe, Bobby Whittaker and Jarvis Vicars. Honorary Pallbearers are Brad Addington, Johnny Fuller, Larry Vicars, Roger Kilgore, Gary Addington, Kenneth Meade, John L. Compton, Larry Moore, Don Rose, Doug Rose and Kenny Hale. Those who plan to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:30 to follow in procession. Those desiring may make memorials contributions to Culbertson's Chapel United Methodist Church c/o Carolyn Odle 240 Genesis Dr. Nickelsville, Virginia 24271.
