Anna Lee Mullins

Kingsport- Anna Lee Mullins, 93, of Kingsport went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday morning (February 15, 2016). She was born in Haysi, Virginia and had lived in the Clintwood and Kingsport area most of her life. Anna was a graduate of Clintwood High School where she was Valedictorian of her class. She attended Berea College where she graduated in the top 2 percent of her class. She also lettered on the swim team and basketball team while attending Berea College. She taught school for several years in Southwest Virginia. Mrs. Mullins loved to work in her flowers, was an avid reader, and especially loved to take care of her grandkids. She attended Sunnyside Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, S.C. Mullins; a son, Daniel Franklin Mullins; her sister, Ella Mae Flanigan. Anna Lee Mullins is survived by her sons, John C. Mullins and wife, Pat, Paul Mullins and wife, Susan; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; her sister, Glenda James and husband, Ken. Calling hours will be held on Thursday (February 18, 2016) from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the ShareLife Room. A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday (February 18, 2016) at 7 p.m. in the ShareLife Room. A graveside service will be conducted on Friday (February 19, 2016) at 3 p.m. at East Lawn Memorial Park. Family and friends attending the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 2:50 p.m. Carter-Trent Funeral Home is serving the Mullins family.
