June Juanita Varney Stennes, 82, of Bradenton, FL went to be with the Lord on August 21st, 2016. Born in Niagara Falls, NY. Preceded in death by her father and mother, Nathan & Leona Varney and sister, Rita Varney. Survivors include daughters, Pam Powell (Vaughn) and Trish Alligood (Michael); Brothers Ted Varney (Lou), Jim Varney (Marilyn) and Bruce Varney (Angel); Grandchildren, Kathleen Powell-Smith, Laura Martin, Niki Patterson, Christina Turner and David Alligood; eight great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces. Celebration of Life will be on Thursday, August 25th at Terra Ceia First Baptist Church, 1704 Center Road, Terra Ceia, FL. Family will receive friends from 5-6pm with service to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Anchor House Seafarers Mission, 13285 Eastern Avenue, Palmetto, FL 34221.
