Jerry Lawson Patton Jerry Lawson, 73, of Kingsport, began celebrating in Heaven when the Lord led him home peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, October 11, 2015. Early in life Jerry lived and grew up in Church Hill, TN and spent the rest of his life as a resident of Kingsport. He was blessed with a caring church family at Orebank Missionary Baptist Church where he had been a member for many years. Jerry loved singing in the choir and he loved his church family. Anyone that knew Jerry Lawson knew that he loved Jesus Christ, and he was very bold in sharing his witness. He cared about whether or not people were going to Heaven. Jerry was proud to own and operate Tri-Cities Vacuum in Kingsport. He loved getting up and going to work. It was an important part of his life. He served many customers over the years, and he always enjoyed spending time with his friends that would stop to say "hello". He appreciated his assistant Elizabeth Hamilton. Jerry was married to his precious wife, Susie Lawson for 39 years. He treasured his family and friends and loved playing practical jokes on them. He reunites in Heaven with his sweet parents, Willard and Emily Lawson; brothers, Carl Lawson and George Lawson; sisters, JoAnn Frye and Brenda Baker; mother in law, Ruth Baker. Jerry is survived by his wife Brenda Susie Lawson of the home; son, Daren Lawson and wife Sherry; daughter, Deana West and husband Gary; grandchildren, Chris, Ashley, Kacie, and Kevin; great grandchildren, Taylor and Caylin; brother, Paul Lawson and wife JoAnn; sisters, Lois Greene, Bertie Mullins, and Jennifer Williams; brothers-in-law, Jim Baker and wife, Joy, and Bobby Baker; sisters-in-law, Charlotte Atchley and deceased husband David Atchley, Kathy Duval and husband Mark, Anita Bates, Donna Stallard and husband Mike, Patti Baker and deceased husband J.M.
