June 7th, 1951 - October 16th, 2010
Heaven needed a handyman. John Marion Tipps II passed suddenly at the age of 59 on Sat. Oct. 16th. John was raised in Fircrest, WA, graduated from Wilson High School in 1969 and attended University of Puget Sound. A long time resident of Bonney Lake, WA. In life John was a loving husband, caring father and playful grandfather. After 30 years at Seafreeze he retired, days were spent with family, travelling in the motor home, rock hounding, mushroom hunting, cooking on the BBQ and restoring his 54 Studebaker. John always wore a smile and gave amazing hugs. He is survived by his wife of 34 years Mari, his children Jayne Foster, Melanie and David Faulkner and Jonathan Tipps and grandsons Zane, Blaine and Easton. In Heaven every Opal has fire. A viewing will be held on Thursday October 21 from 6-8 p.m. at Curnow Funeral Home, 1410 Main St. Sumner. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday October 22- 2:00-4:00PM at the Fruitland Grange 11102 86th Ave E. Puyallup.
