Marie Wynn Spivey
August 7th, 1934 - January 26th, 2017
Marie Wynn Spivey, 82, of Bradenton, Florida, passed away from Alzheimer’s disease on January 26, 2017. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Joe Spivey, and son Glenn Allen Spivey. She is survived by two sons Tony Spivey (Valerie) and Bart Spivey (Donna) of Parrish; five grandchildren, Lori Spivey Baker (John), Jennifer Spivey Smith (Troy), Brian Spivey (Rachel), Levi Spivey (Erin), and Randy Dennis (Tiffany), and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Gerald Wynn (Clara). Born August 7, 1934 in Manatee County, she was a 1952 graduate of Manatee High School. Before retiring, she worked as a Buyer for Beall’s Department Stores and in shipping for Tropicana. She also worked in the cattle industry, and was a former President of the Manatee Cowbelle’s Association. Visitation will be held at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home on Monday, January 30 from 6-8 p.m. Graveside service will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Florida Gulf Coast Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association or Tidewell Hospice.
