Mike Fanning

Micheal Carson Fanning, 48 of Kingsport went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, (August 4, 2015) at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. He was born on July 26, 1967 in Havre de Grace, MD to Lonnie E. and Judy M. (Gordon) Fanning. He served in the U.S. Army. Mike was a supervisor for C & S Rail Service in Concord, NC. He was saved at an early age when he attended Emmorton Baptist Church in BelAir, MD. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Lockwood Fanning of the home; his parents, Lonnie Eugene and Judy Marie Fanning; two daughters, Brandy Fanning of Kingsport and Jamie Fanning of Brookings, SD; his precious granddaughter, Sierra Fanning; four brothers, Jonnie Fanning, Roy Fanning & wife Becky, Sam Fanning & wife Sherry and James Fanning & wife Shana; along with several nieces, nephews and special friends. The family will receive friends from 3 - 5 pm on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga Street, Kingsport or friends may also call anytime at the home of his parents, Lonnie and Judy Fanning. A funeral service will follow in the chapel at 5 pm with Pastor Glen Bradley, officiating. Music will be provided by Curtis Davis, Pam Shipley, Theresa Crawford and Deborah Vaughan. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is serving the Fanning family.
