Paul Cummings

Robert "Bob" Paul Cummings, 69 of Kingsport went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 20, 21015 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. Born in Beckley, West Virginia, Robert was employed at INFO Pro Corp. as a Senior Security Engineer in Huntsville, Alabama. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the Brindlee Mountain Church of God, Huntsville, AL and attends the Weber City Church of God, Weber City, VA. He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Lee Cummings, II; his mother, Christine Estep Cummings. Survivors include his loving wife of 35 ½ years, Donna Hammonds Cummings the home; his son, David Cummings & wife Patty of Kingsport; daughter, Sandra Cummings and granddaughter, Lana Grace Turner of Huntsville, AL; his brother, Howard Lee Cummings III of Huntsville, Al along with his special friends, Johnny Mack Williams and wife, Kathy. The family will receive friends from 12 noon to 2 pm on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Kingsport. A Celebration of Life service will be at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Ralph Hammonds and Pastor Raymond Hammonds, officiating. Music will be provided by Elijah Woods. Military Graveside services will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park, Kingsport with the American Legion Post #3 and Post #265, officiating. Pallbearers will be Bill Smith, Matt Smith, Phil Castle, Eddie Hammonds, Jody Hammonds, Johnny Mack Williams, Larry Ray and Daniel Parker. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Weber City Church of God 198 Yuma Road, Weber City, Virginia 24290 Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is serving the Cummings family.
