Raymond Housewright

Raymond (Bo) Housewright - Kingsport - Raymond Housewright, 71 of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Monday morning May 11, 2015 at Vanderbilt Medical Center following a brief illness. Raymond was born and raised in Church Hill. He was a graduate of Church Hill High School. Raymond worked at Hawkins County Press for over 40 years and was currently working with Kingsport Time News. He loved to restore Chevy trucks and was a proud owner of a 1968 Chevy pick-up. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty Ruth Housewright; parents, Clint and Fannie Housewright. He is survived by his son Randall Housewright, Jr; daughter, Lisa Allgood and husband Roger; special grandchildren, Josie Allgood, Abbi Allgood, and Aaron Allgood (Littleman); his siblings, Clyde Housewright and wife Francis, Kyle Housewright and wife Judy and Emma Bledsoe (Sissy) and husband Randall; special friend, Delphine Dockery; along with several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 pm to 7 pm on Saturday, May16, 2015 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga Street, Kingsport or anytime at the residence. A service will follow at 7 pm in the funeral home chapel with Elder Neil Drinnon and Pastor Chris Fields officiating. Music will be provided by the True Faith Quartet. A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday May 17, 2015 at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Those who wish to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1:15 p.m. to go in procession. Pallbearers will be Sammy Norris, Brent Housewright, Jared Housewright, Jamie Housewright, and Taylor Hurd. Carter-Trent Funeral Home downtown Kingsport is serving the Housewright family.
