Johnny Strange

JOHNNY STRANGE Kingsport- Johnny Strange, 64, of Kingsport, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday morning (April 9, 2015). He was born in Morristown and resided in Kingsport the majority of his life. Johnny loved sports and truly enjoyed being outdoors. He was a member of West View Baptist Church and was currently attending Blessed Hope Baptist Church. Johnny will always be remembered for his quick wit and especially for his true love of his daughters, Tracy and Jamie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Gladys Luster Strange; a brother, Robert Strange. Johnny Strange is survived by his daughters, Tracy Strange McPheron and husband, Brett, Jamie Strange Pierson and husband, Pastor Travis Pierson; sisters, Miranda Frazier, Shelby Ketron and husband, Noah; brothers, Fred Strange and wife, Brenda, Jerry Strange and wife, Kathy; his special extended family, Gail and Ronnie Hess; a beloved special pet, "Rascal" along with several nieces and nephews. A special acknowledgement of appreciation and gratitude goes out to the nurses and staff of the 100 Wing at Holston Manor for the love and care given to Johnny. A visitation will be held on Sunday (April 12, 2015) from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Kingsport. A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday (April 12, 2015) at 4 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Mike Stout and Pastor Travis Pierson, officiating. Music will be provided by Hugh Seavers.
