Robert “Bob” D. Eldridge, 94, of Bradenton Fl, passed away Saturday, June 23, 2018 at the Pines of Sarasota. Mr. Eldridge was a resident of Bradenton Fl since 1978. Mr. Eldridge was born in Mansfield MA and moved to Framingham MA after service in the US Army’s 106th Infantry Division in WWII where he was taken prisoner in the Battle of the Bulge. Upon his return he married Jean Eldridge, nee Leslie of Framingham, MA, in 1949, Bob and Jean, a Framingham school teacher, raised three daughters, Elizabeth, Susan, and Robin. After a 30-year career at the Jamaica Plain VA Hospital in Boston MA, he and Jean retired, moved to Christian Retreat in Bradenton, Fl, along with daughter Robin. Mr. Eldridge was a member of Journey Assembly of God in Bradenton and numerous veteran organizations Mr. Eldridge’s wife passed in 1999 and he is survived by his daughter Elizbeth Gregson and her husband John of Portsmouth RI, and their daughter Anna Zambrano and her husband Jay, son Robert and his wife Marina Gregson and their daughter Arminda, and by his middle daughter Susan Parker and her husband John of Rehoboth, MA and their eldest daughter Rebecca Pickens and her husband Scott and their son Kellan and Rebecca’s daughters Jenna and Alyssa Barros, and youngest daughter Nicole O’Neil and her husband Terry of Marshfield MA and sons Conor and Shane, and by his youngest daughter Robin Draper and her husband Lenny of Bradenton, Florida and their daughter Rachel Willis and daughter Amberly and sons Ayden and Jaxon, and Robin’s son and daughter Josh Fleischer and his wife Alana and daughter Tegan and daughter Sarah Fleischer and her husband Christopher Torres of Miami, Florida.
