Murray Jo "Ginki" Miller (Gill) passed away September 3, 2018 at Lakewood Ranch Hospital. She was born October 2, 1946 in Hardee County to Alfred (Murray) and Juel Gill. The middle child with two brothers, Alton and Walter. She graduated High School in 1964 and Manatee Junior College in 1979. Ginki's passion was children and her community Myakka City. She was the assistant Librarian at Myakka Elementary and then went on to teach reading at Oneco Elementary and work at the 13th Ave Community Center. She later went on to found what is now the after school Programs at the Myakka Community Center. She was very instrumental in coaxing the County in the purchase and building of the property and construction of the Community Center Building on Wauchula Road. Along the way she created the monthly 'Myakka Livin' publication. She is survived by her husband, John J. Miller, two children, John Murray Miller and Carol Ann Brooks, and two grandchildren, Kristen and Jaxon. She enjoyed reading to children and is fondly remembered by the many children she had the opportunity to teach. The Family will receive Friends on Friday, September 7, 2018 from 6 to 8 pm at Griffith-Cline, 720 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton, Florida. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Verna Bethany Baptist Church, 26604 SR 64 E., Myakka City, FL.
