Dennis Allen Severson

Dennis Allen Severson, 68 of Graham, WA went to be with the Lord on September 28, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was diagnosed March of 2020 with pancreatic cancer. Through all the challenges that brought, he had a fighting spirit. He was born July 10, 1953 in Grand Rapids, MN to Ned and Arlene Severson, a family of strong faith. He was raised on a farm in Deer River, Minnesota until the age of 16. His family then moved to Alaska where he graduated from Chugiak High School in 1971. He started working for the State of Alaska after high school. He then bought his own truck and transitioned into working for himself. He will always be remembered as a strong leader and a very dedicated business man. Trucking was his passion. Always looking to learn and try something new. He moved south to Oregon for a short while before eventually settling in Washington State. He loved hunting, fishing, motorcycles, snowmobiling, target shooting, road trips and outdoor activities and the beauty of nature. He especially loved coaching and cheering the kids on at the motor cross track, drag races, rodeos, swim meets and hockey matches. He also loved to find unique old trucks and tractors and restore them. Dennis was a man of many hats. Everyone that has crossed his path has a memory of this great soul. He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda. Father to his three children; Anthony (Heidi) of Alameda, CA, Jonathan (Monica) of Anchorage, AK and Bethany (Cameron) of Tacoma, WA. Grandfather to Zachery, Matthew, Chloe, Owen and Timothy. Brothers Roger (Sandy) and Wesley (Becky) both of Eagle River, Alaska and sister, Laura (Larry) of Deer River, MN. Preceded in death by his parents, brother, Corwin and sister, Anita. A celebration of life will be held on October 30th from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at (Lemay) Marymount Event Center 325 152nd Street E, Tacoma, WA 98445.
