Maude Head

Maudella Head, age 73, of Kingsport, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, October 11, 2014. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Mossie Winstead; 8 brothers and 2 sisters. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Elmer (Bob) Head of the home; sister, Juanita (John) Head of Kingsport; brothers, Carl (Faye) Winstead of Surgoinsville, and Lawrence (Dorothy) Winstead of Kingsport; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family would like to especially thank special friend, Kay Worley; sister, Juanita Head; sister-in-law, Dorothy Winstead and all of the Amedysis Hospice staff for their continued care and support during her illness. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Sunday, October 12, 2014, at Scott County Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow with Elder Oscar Irvin officiating. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, October 13, 2014 at Powers Cemetery in Robinette Valley. Pallbearers will be Lowell Head, Tim Presley, Ethan Presley, Stacy Head, Walter Winstead, Steven Winstead, David Presley and Wayne Winegar. Honorary pallbearers will be Sylvan Collier, Don Tate, Nay Presley and Donnie Head.Those who wish not to drive in procession may meet at the cemetery at 10:45 am.
