Daniel Edward Moylan, 72, of Lakewood Ranch, Sarasota, Florida passed away suddenly on August 11th, 2020. Dan was born in Brooklyn, New York to the late Edward and Eileen Moylan. He spent his formative years in Woonsocket, Rhode Island and later lived in Maryland and Georgia before settling in Florida. Dan is survived by his daughter Bronwyn A. Dannenfelser; his brothers Mike (Debbie) of Woonsocket, Rhode Island, Chris (Sue) of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, and Tim (Linda) of Northbridge, Massachusetts; his former wife Sharon Moylan of Smithfield, Rhode Island; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his son Sean O. Moylan, brother Edward J.Moylan, and nephew Jason Moylan. Dan was a gifted scholar and athlete who loved his family and country. He graduated from Woonsocket High School where he served as Class President and was a member of the 1963 undefeated, state champion football team. During the Vietnam War, he volunteered for the Marine Corps where he served honorably with combat tours in Danang, Vietnam and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. He was an accomplished Certified Public Accountant (CPA) for over 40 years. Dan lived an extraordinary life. He will be forever remembered for his love of life and family, incredible sense of humor, strong intellect, charm, passion for sports, and his best Irish trait “The Gift of Gab!” His family can truly attest that Dan never met a stranger. God speed Dan! We will miss you more than words can say. Due to Covid 19 protocols burial will be private and a celebration of life will be scheduled at a future date.
