Ronald Joseph Dier
April 1st, 1952 - December 5th, 2022
Ronald Joseph Dier, 70, of Sumner, Washington passed away peacefully from cancer on December 5th surrounded by family. He was born to Robert and Ilena Dier on April 1, 1952 in Aberdeen, Washington. After graduating from Hoquiam High School he joined the Navy and toured Vietnam aboard the USS Carpenter. In 1979 Ron married Linda Larson and together raised two children. Ron made a career of entrepreneurial and management positions in the logistics and warehousing industry earning the loyalty of customers, employees and employers alike. Ron was also an active member of VFW Post 2224 serving as Chaplain for over 15 years. He retired from his position as Chaplin in 2020 and as General Manager of Tripak, Inc. in 2021. Ron is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years Linda Dier; daughter, Liisa (Jeff) Doty, son, Shawn (Christine) Adams; four grandchildren: Jordan, Peyton, Mason and Elizabeth; siblings, Penny (Ralph) Koal, David (Pam) Dier and Susan Dier; and the extended family, friends and neighbors whose lives he touched. In lieu of flowers please hug your family, help a neighbor, root for the Seahawks or have a Rainier if so inclined.
