Bonnie Katherine Anderson

Bonnie Anderson, age 76, of Puyallup, Washington passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 29, 2023. Bonnie graduated from St. Peter High School, St. Peter, Minnesota in 1964. She graduated from Mankato Beauty School in 1965 and obtained her certification as a cosmetologist. Working at Karens Beauty Shop in St. Peter, she met some of her most loved, lifetime friends. Bonnie moved to Washington State with her Husband, Don, in 1977. In Washington, she spent 27 years as a paraeducator for the Puyallup School District. Bonnie had a special gift for working with children and made a positive difference in her student’s lives. She also developed many lifetime friendships with her colleagues. Bonnie retired from the Puyallup School District in June of 2012. Bonnie enjoyed gardening, crafting, teaching, and traveling. She was an excellent cook and her German potato salad is a family favorite. She loved to go on road trips with her husband. Bonnie’s favorite destination was the beach. She particularly enjoyed traveling to the Oregon coast whenever she could. Bonnie’s favorite activity, however, was to simply spend time with her grandchildren and family. Bonnie’s joyful spirit and constant kindness were blessings to all her friends and family. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Myra Drenttel; Husband, Donald Anderson; and Brother, Clifford Drenttel Jr. She is survived by daughters, Katherine Stamaris and Kristi Anderson (Dustin); Grandchildren, Corbin, Kaiden, and Emersyn Stamaris; Brother, Edward Drenttel (Sandy); and many loving nieces and nephews. Please join us in celebrating Bonnie’s beautiful life at a Funeral Mass on Friday, March 3, 2023 at 10 am at Holy Disciples Catholic Church, 10425 187th St E Puyallup, WA 98374. A luncheon to further celebrate her life will follow immediately after the mass at the Church. In lieu of flowers, Bonnie requested that memorials be made to benefit and assist her three grandchildren. Memorials may be sent to (and checks made payable to) Kristi Anderson at 17202 93rd Ave E., Puyallup, WA 98375-2236. Per Bonnie’s request, all memorials will be deposited into an account for the benefit of her grandchildren.
