Our dear beloved daughter, Nola Oelke passed suddenly on May 7, 2023. She was born in Renton, WA on January 11, 1964. Nola was a very sweet lady. She had Rett Syndrome which robbed her of speech and use of her hands, but she was aware and understood what others spoke about. She loved to eavesdrop and giggle at what others were saying. Nola lived in a group home with 3 other clients. It is a very nice home with loving and capable staff. She loved all other caretakers. When she was younger she loved to ride on her sister, Lynda's horses. And she was very happy to be able to go swimming. She could float like a leaf! She also liked short walks and car rides. Also like to sit out on the lawn swing during nice weather. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lyle and Ethel Oelke and Walter and Sydne Duvall. She is survived by parents, Roger and Beulah Oelke, brother and sister in law Brian and Colleen Oelke, sister Lynda and brother in law Larry Gobel. Also survived by nieces and nephews, Courtney Oelke, Mikel Kralicek, Tyler and Madison Oelke. Nola was loved by so many people, it makes our hearts happy to know so many cared. She is free of Rett now and dancing with all the other Rett girls who have gone on before her. Fly high and free of Rett, our beloved daughter.
