Cheryl Robin Wilson, 64 years young of Lake Tapps, WA. Peacefully passed on to Heaven and her Lord on 17 June 2023. She was surrounded by family, Michael, Aaron, Heidi & Matthew at home after a long 21 months of battling Acute Myeloid Leukemia Cancer. Cheryl was born on 18 August 1958 to Clara Barks, at Guantanamo Bay US Naval Base, Cuba. Cheryl's mom remarried to Emanuel Croasmun in 1968 & was adopted by her stepdad. Cheryl graduated from Oak Harbor High School in Washington, where she also attended Navy Sea Cadets. After HS graduation, Cheryl worked at Country Kitchen and Black Angus in Everett, WA and El Gaucho restaurant in Seattle, WA, waitressing. Later, when living in Auburn, WA she worked at Pacific National Bank in Sea Tac, Auburn and Tacoma, WA, as a teller and Insurance agent. Her passionate last job was working at Dieringer and Sumner school district as a Paraeducator for 17 years. In 1985, Cheryl met Michael Wilson at Bonney Lake Baptist Church which was meeting in the Bonney Lake Elementary School. This was A Set Up meeting by Cheryl's friends Debbie Corliss and her folks Bill and Phylis Daniels. 2 years later Cheryl and Michael married, on 12 September 1987 at BLBC and went on to have 3 children, Aaron, Heidi and Matthew, and 2 grandchildren, Kellen and Elowyn. Cheryl was always involved in God's work at BLBC as the clerk/secretary and children's church. When we started attending Lake Tapps Community Church, she became involved in the children's Adventure Club on Wednesdays and the Children's Church. When Mike attended Bonney Lake Community Church, Cheryl even helped him out at the youth groups Awana Program. And of course, for LTCC youth summer camp at 5-mile lake, she would help out with the cooking. Cheryl retired in 2019 after 17 years at Sumner School District. While retired, Cheryl loved to Sew and Quilt. I can not tell you how many quilts she made but they were all special. She even made special face masks for the USS Whirlwind PC11 in Bahrain, where our son Matthew was stationed. Cheryl was an excellent Cook and baker, making bread loaves, and trying new recipes, using me as her taste tester. reason of his weight gain. But she really enjoyed being with and teaching her Grandson Kellen and Granddaughter Elowyn how to bake cookies & bread. And of course, just getting down on the floor playing games with them. Cheryl you were my Sunshine, everything always turned out right when you were around. Cheryl was predeceased by her mother Clara and her sister-in-law Tracy Croasmun.
