Glenn Kuper Sr.
September 27th, 1937 - November 17th, 2023
Glenn Kuper, Sr., age 86, died on Friday, November 17, 2023, in Edgewood, WA. He was born on September 27, 1937, in Chicago, IL to George and Beatrice Kuper. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1959-1963. In 1963 he married the love of his life, the late Nancy (Leaper) Kuper, and they lived in Illinois, Arizona and Washington state. He was a superb mechanic who could fix almost anything, and he worked for many years at Lake Forest Hospital and the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard as a boiler mechanic and pipefitter. Glenn retired from the shipyard in 1997, and he and Nancy traveled between Oregon and Arizona in their RV for several years before settling in Puyallup, WA, where they spent their time with their kids, grandkids and granddogs. Glenn was preceded in death by his wife Nancy in 2014, and is survived by four children, Kristi [Jeff] Knutson, Glenn [Kate] Kuper, Jr., Greg [Michelle] Kuper and Kasey Kuper; and grandchildren Alexa, Kasey, Jr., Kyle, Jacob, Nora, Anna, Steven, Kya, Dustin, and Augustus; his sisters-in-law Joann and Pat; and many nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held Friday, November 24, from 5-7 p.m. at Curnow Funeral Home, 1504 Main St, Sumner, WA. A funeral mass will take place Saturday, November 25, at 11 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church, 503 3rd St SW, Puyallup, WA, The mass will be livestreamed at- Funeral Liturgy - Glenn Kuper, Sr. - YouTube. followed by burial at Gethsemane Catholic Cemetery, 7600 Pacific Highway S. Federal Way, WA. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
