William Douglas Kelso
August 26th, 1944 - December 5th, 2022
William Douglas Kelso was born on August 26, 1944, in Sellersville, Pennsylvania. He died on December 5, 2022 in Bradenton, Florida. William served in the U.S. Army and worked for his father’s business before following his heart’s passion to become a teacher. In the Sarasota school system, he taught children with disabilities and autism, and later directed the adult high school. His respect and compassion for his fellow man lifted up his students and colleagues. Bill was married to his high school sweetheart, Charlotte, for sixty years until her death. He was deeply loved by all his family, who will always cherish the gift of his love and wisdom. All who knew Bill will always remember his gentle, loving soul. We will gather in his honor at 11 o’clock a.m. on Friday, December 9, 2022 at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, 720 Manatee Avenue West, Bradenton, Florida.
