Wilbert Wichers Sr. went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 7, 2023. Dina, his wife of 71 years preceded him in death in 2020. He had nurtured and continued to pray daily over his 5 children; Louis Wichers, Sandra L. Olthuis, Deborah Kiner, Wilbert Wichers Jr., and Thomas Wichers. His family extended to 12 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Will served in WWII with the Army Air Force “320th” fighter control squadron, the Army Air Force 13th Jungle Squadron, and with the Air Force during the Korean War. He was a charter member of the Bradenton Christian Reformed Church, a partner/owner of B&W Frozen Foods, and helped to establish Bradenton Christian School. He served on two mission trips in the Dominican Republic and a medical mission in Peru. He visited the local jail and nursing homes bringing Hope and Truth. His heart was in serving the Lord through involvement in many local charities and clubs: Youth For Christ, Exchange Club of Manatee County, Anna Maria Power Squadron, and Anchor House. Many were blessed by his generosity, humor, and positive outlook. Praise God and to Him be the Glory. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: Youth For Christ 1901 30th Ave. W.
