July 8th, 1924 - June 9th, 2023
Dorothy, 98, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2023 at Water’s Edge of Bradenton, Assisted Living Facility. Dorothy was born in Hamtramck, Michigan to Leo and Sophia Karaszewski. She met her husband Walter L. Royall while they were both employed at Sun Oil Company in Detroit, Michigan. Dorothy, her husband and daughters moved to Bradenton in 1957. She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church for 65 years, member of the church choir and was the volunteer Bookkeeper for the Tree of Life Preschool/Daycare for 18 years. In her spare time Dorothy enjoyed doing crafts and various needle work projects. She loved crocheting scrubbies to give to her family and friends. Dorothy is predeceased by her husband Walter “Bud” Royall and sister Lorraine Moore. She is survived by her four daughters Kathy Priesmeyer (Bill), Lesley Caffin (Grady), Janice Bogart (Gary) and Terry Freeman. Four grand children Leah Baer (Matt), Elizabeth Bogart, Hannah Bogart (Chase) and Andrew Freeman. One great grand child C.J. Flinn. Six nieces and nephews Caryll Moore, David Moore, Mary Lynn Ritzenthaler (Greg Bradsher), Laurie Schmidtke, Jeff Ritzenthaler, Gary Ritzenthaler. Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at 11:00 am at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2200 26th Street West, Bradenton, Florida 34205, with a time of fellowship following from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. Arrangements are being handled by Griffith Cline Funeral Home and condolences can be made at griffithcline.com.
