Phyllis Case Fried
December 7th, 1923 - June 14th, 2022
Phyllis Case Fried, resident of Dominion Senior Living, died June 14 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center. Born December 7, 1923, Phyl was 98 years old. She was preceded in death by husband of 54 years, Moses Fried, sons Alan Spencer Fried and Stephen Fried, and great granddaughter Haley Sue Pearson. She is survived by daughters Kaye Hamm (Jack, deceased), Fanny Timmer (Bill), Sharyl Emberton (Rodger), Toby Fried, Andrea Neichter (John), Ann Fried (Stephen, deceased). Grandchildren are Joshua (David Meinhold), Jeremy (Lisa), and Jason Hamm, Alan Emberton, Spencer Neichter, Pam Pearson (Stacy), Chelsea Cox and Catie Denham, Megan Cantoran and Eva Stiver. Great grandchildren are Eva and Jay Hamm, Hayden and Hadley Pearson, Nyx Hamm, Phoebe and Sophie Emberton, Anna Clay and Cora Cox, Porter and Ewan Stiver, Rosabella and Enzo Cantoran. Phyl Fried never met a stranger and made friends everywhere she lived. Often her wonderful stories of raising a family, travels, and life adventures were the center of all social engagements. She was an avid reader, an excellent bridge player, and had a dab hand at flower arranging. While raising a large family in Flemingsburg, Kentucky she started an auxiliary group which raised much needed funds for the new hospital, became the first director for the adult group at Comprehend. Later, she was occupational therapist at Morton Plant in Clearwater, Florida. Phyl was always surrounded by her much loved pets. In lieu of flowers please donate to your local animal shelter. Visitation will be on Monday, June 20, 2022 from 11am until 1pm at Clark Legacy Center in Frankfort, KY, with burial to follow at Lexington Cemetery.
