Joyce A Johnson

Joyce A. Johnson, 87, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2022. The widow of Leonard Johnson, Jr, Joyce was born February 18, 1935, to the late Waldo and Mary Helen Roberts Allison in Frankfort, Kentucky. Joyce retired as a Sales Associate from Sears after 20 years of employment. She was an active member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Frankfort, where she loved attending services. Joyce also enjoyed tending to her flower beds and working outside in her yard. She loved people and enjoyed teasing her friends and family. Joyce is survived by her children, Pamela (Johnny) Lefler of Frankfort, Anna (David) Stivers of Frankfort, Keven (Bobbie) Johnson of Frankfort, and David (Misty) Johnson of Versailles; her sister, Sue C. Turner of Indiana; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandson. A Funeral Service will be held 9:00a, Thursday, December 8, 2022, at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd, in Frankfort with Pastor Lowell Newsome and Bro. Jeffery Farmer officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Frankfort. Serving as Pallbearers will be Joshua Lefler, David Stivers, Joseph Johnson, Daniel Johnson, Austin Downing, and Ayden Downing. Honorary Pallbearers include, Penny Vest, Caleb Lefler, Noah Rassenfoss, and Kaylee Johnson. Visitation will be from 4:00p until 7:00p on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests Memorial Donations be made in Joyce’s honor to a church of your choice.
