Henry Clay Fitzpatrick

Henry Clay Fitzpatrick, 99, passed away on Friday, June 16, 2023. The son of Charles and Grace Howard Fitzpatrick, Henry was born December 3, 1923, in Swampton, Kentucky. From humble beginnings, Henry led a full, healthy life comprised of hard work and memory worthy moments. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, and gardening, but above all, woodworking. Henry created the most beautiful pieces of furniture and eventually musical instruments. Henry is survived by his son, Larry Fitzpatrick of Frankfort; sisters, Rose Oglesbee of Michigan, Patsy Marshall of Royalton, Faye Hauck of Michigan, and Carol LaDuke of Michigan; a brother, Paul (Sally) Fitzpatrick of Michigan; grandchildren, Amy (John) Glas, Brian (Mercilla) Fitzpatrick, Matthew (Jimalee) Fitzpatrick, Clayton Fitzpatrick, Elizabeth Casey, Amanda Fitzpatrick, Angie (Brandon) Lykins, Grace (Eric) Clark, Lisa Bowen, and Keith Fitzpatrick; and a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Charles and Grace Howard Fitzpatrick, Henry was preceded in death by his wife, the mother of his children, Grace Hudson Fitzpatrick in 1979, and his second wife, Geri Lasky Fitzpatrick in 2007; a son, Lester Fitzpatrick; his daughter-in-law, Linde Hofstra Fitzpatrick; sisters, Etoyla Whitaker, Della Oglesbee, Bonnie Walters, Donna Conley, and Barbara Herrington; and brothers, Joe Fitzpatrick and Ricky Fitzpatrick. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Shelbyville Wesleyan Church project fund. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
