Ben Tittsworth, 71, of Gate City, went to be with the Lord on Sunday afternoon (April 23, 2017) at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. He was born in Scott County where he had lived the majority of his life. Ben was an avid hunter and fisherman. During his lifetime, he worked at Holliston Mills, Teamsters Union Local 549, and after he retired, was also a master logger. He had the heart of a faithful servant to everyone who knew him, no questions asked. Ben helped anyone and everyone with whatever he could in every way possible. Ben was a member and beloved deacon at Lynn Garden Baptist Church for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Hazel Pratt Tittsworth; brothers, George Tittsworth and Charlie Tittsworth; a father-in-law, Walter Hurd.
