James Richard Ginn

James Richard Ginn, 77, husband of Patricia Woods Ginn, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2023. He was born in Frankfort KY on November 2, 1946, to the late Mable Smith and James Lawrence Ginn. James was retired from the Kentucky Department of Transportation and was also a member of Crestwood Baptist Church, Frankfort KY, where he served as a deacon, church treasurer, and enjoyed teaching Sunday School. James loved listening to Elvis gospel music and enjoyed watching UK Basketball and Football games. Besides his wife, Patricia, those left to cherish his memory include his sons, Adam (Stella) Ginn, James Michael (Jemalyn) Ginn; and his grandchildren, Jackson Ginn, Aradia Ginn, and Selene Ginn. Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 26, 2023, from 5-7pm at his church, Crestwood Baptist, 1006 East Main Street, Frankfort KY. Funeral service will be Wednesday at the church at 11am, with Dr. Mike Butler officiating. Serving as casketbearers will be Jack Ginn, John Ledford, Larry Hurn, Ronnie Hillard, Paul Smith, Kevin Oerther, Jorge Cuentas, Charles Woods, and Brandon Woods. Entombment will be private at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Frankfort KY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Crestwood Baptist Church, 1006 East Main Street, Frankfort, KY.
