Sandy Woolums Clark, 70, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2024. The wife of Johnnie Clark, Sandy was born April 14, 1954, to the late Virgil and Ollie Mae Parr Woolums in Versailles, Kentucky. A feisty little thing, Sandy was a loving wife, mother, Mamaw, GiGi, Nana, and sister who loved to read and be outside in the sun. Her home was always open to anyone and everyone, often taking people in for months and even years at a time. In addition to her husband, Johnnie Clark, Sandy is survived by her daughter, Stephanie (Jonathan) Hatter of Georgetown; sisters, Brenda (Farris) Gandy of Frankfort, and Susan (Danny) Dehner of Florence; her brothers, David (Lena) Woolums of Cynthiana, Michael Woolums of Florida, and Jeffrey Woolums of Frankfort; her grandchildren, Reanna Hatter, Braeden Hatter, and Kane Hatter; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends that she often claimed as her own. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Ollie Mae Parr Woolums, and her sister, Mary Joyce Flynt. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
