Donald Andrew McClain, 64, of Lexington passed away at his residence on Saturday, May 9th, 2020. He was practicing Buddhist for over thirty years and a fifteen year employee of the Kroger Company. Don graduated from Henry Clay High School in 1974 and attended Morehead State University where he was pursuing an Associate’s Degree in Astronomy. He is survived by his mother, Anna Sue Miller; brother Jerry Miller and his wife, Ann; brother Carl Miller; cousins Nancy Rose Todd and Brandie Todd; his father, Donald A. McClain and his step-mother, Nina and his companion of 35 years, Maryee Tackett, as well as his step-sister, Ida Abney; niece, Alivia Miller and nephews, Austin and Ryan Miller and many friends. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents- Doris Barlow and step-grand father Ross Barlow and grandfather Andrew “Bud” Harp; paternal grandparents- Ethel and Arthur McClain; step-father, William Miller; and step-sister, Lavenia Miller: aunt, Georgia Maxey and uncle, Glen Maxey. His remains will be cremated by the Clark Legacy Center. A private family gathering will take place at a later date.
