He was born on June 7, 1947, in Pikeville, KY, born to the late Perry and Elizabeth Owens Compton. In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughter, Ginger (Mark) Underwood, son, Patrick Neal ( Sarah) Compton and grandchildren, Isaac Andrew and Samantha Nicole Underwood and Benjamin Ruff and Johanna Pearl Compton.
