Paul Gruenberger (67) passed away peacefully at his home in Thornton, CO on July 31st. Paul was born in Bremen, Germany August 22, 1950 to Lothar and Elfriede Gruenberger. He was raised in New York City, NY with his brother Thomas and settled in Colorado in 1957. Paul married Debra Diane Gruenberger September 16, 1972. Together they had three children and raised their family in the city of Broomfield. Paul held various positions within retail management at King Soopers. Paul’s professional calling was with UFCW Local 7. During his time with the UFCW, Paul was an activist and strong voice for workers’ rights in Wyoming and Colorado. During this time he held multiple positions and served on the Executive Board. Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Debra and parents. He is survived by his children Derek & Mandy Gruenberger, Loren Gruenberger and Kristin Gruenberger; grandchildren Kathryn and Ryan Gruenberger; Brothers Thomas & Marilee Gruenberger and Mike & Yvonne Gruenberger.
