Olga Moroz Shinkarevich
September 17th, 1926 - June 12th, 2017
Online Obituaries for Lexington, KY Olga Moroz Shinkarevich, 90, passed away Monday, June 12, 2017. A native of Stolin, Belarus, Olga was born September 17, 1926 to the late Yakov and Cinkleta Moroz. A survivor of WWII, she escaped capture by jumping from a train before the boxcars door could be closed. She would later marry her husband of 70 years, Nikolay Shinkarevich, and become the mother of a daughter and three sons. Olga truly was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Only love could outweigh her strength and determination. She loved wholly and completely. Olga treasured her time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, cooking, and singing. She was one of a kind. In addition to her husband, Nikolay, Olga is survived by her daughter, Anna Kharitonova; sons, Michael Shinkarevich, Anthony Shinkarevich, and Leonid Shinkarevich; grandchildren, Vadim, Valentina, Slava, Natasha, Olga, Victoria, Pavel, Nikolay, and Dimitri; and great grandchildren, Artum, Alina, Vlad, Polina, and Anna.
