Lillian Herron Thompson

Lillian Herron Thompson 76, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Holston Valley Medical Center. Lillian was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Mary Herron; brother, Jack Herron; sisters, Margie Gilliam, Evelyn Gentry, Barbara Jean Jones, and Dorothy Huff. Survivors include her loving husband of 57 years, Earl Thompson; son, Roger Thompson; daughter, Sandra Dawn; grandchildren, Erika and Preston Thompson, Nathan Wampler, and Mikayla Shaffer; brother, Buddy Herron; sister, Faye Thompson; along with several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 from 5pm to 7pm at Carter-Trent Funeral Home downtown, Kingsport. A graveside service will be conducted at 11am on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at East Lawn Memorial Park with Bro. Freddie Huff officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
