SUSAN DIANE ARCHER Kingsport- Susan Diane Marshall Archer, 55, of Kingsport, passed away at the home early Tuesday morning (November 6, 2018) at her residence following a brief illness. She was a lifelong resident of Kingsport who was a graduate of Dobyns Bennett High School in 1981. She was also a graduate of ETSU having received her degree in Criminal Justice. Susan was a probation officer with the State of Florida for several years. She was an avid animal lover and especially enjoyed being with her beloved grandson, Isaiah. She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Marshall; a brother, Michael Lynn Marshall. Susan Archer is survived by her daughter, Dallas Jean Archer; a son, Shane Dylan Archer; a grandson, Isaiah Archer; her mother, Chloras (Wallace) Marshall; a brother, Eugene Alan Marshall (Diane) along with a niece; Brittany and nephew, Michael. A visitation will be held on Thursday (November 8, 2018) from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport or friends may also call anytime at the residence. A graveside service will be held at Oak Hill Mausoleum on Friday (November 9, 2018) at 1 p.m. with Pastor Melvin Farmer, officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
