He was a union electrician with IBEW, a devoted member of IBEW Local Union #369, loved playing golf, horse racing, University of Kentucky basketball and football, and Democratic politics. Surviving besides his wife, are two daughters; Rene Travis-Lawson, Nicholasville, Carrie Griffin-Lawson, Garrard County, two sons; Darrell W. Lawson, Tim Lawson {Shelia}, all of Nicholasville, three sisters; Brenda {Tommy} Miller, Winchester, Phyllis Lunsford, Geneva Henry, both of Nicholasville, one brother; Jimmy {Rita} Lawson, Garrard County, fourteen grandchildren; and five grandchildren, two step grandchildren; Alec and Austin, his sister-in-law and brother-in-law; Sarah and Neely,and his cat Miss Abbie. was also preceded in death by a son; Tony Lawson and two brothers, Bobby and Ronnie Lawson. Funeral Information His gathering of family and friends will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at Clark Legacy Center Brannon Crossing followed by his Celebration of Life service at 7 p.m. conducted by Chaplain John Richie.
