Brian W. Johnson, 55, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 23, 2019. Brian was born on August 19, 1963 in Sullivan County. He was a graduate of Volunteer High School. He worked at M&M Woodworking for 32 years. Some of his strongest passions were his love of animals, especially his fur baby Haley, gardening, and NASCAR. Brian was a loving son, father, grandfather, and friend. Brian is preceded in death by his father, Wiley L. Johnson; paternal grandparents, John and Maude Johnson; and maternal grandparents, Garnie and Gladys Lawson. Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Justin B. Johnson and Jordan A. Johnson; special granddaughter, Adalynn Grace Johnson; mother, Shirley Lawson Ball and husband, Bill; mother of his children, Teresa Johnson; special aunt, Dorothy Housewright; and special cousin, Jeff Housewright and wife Jackie; step-brother, Josh Ball of Knoxville, TN; step-sister, Christy Ball of South Carolina; aunt, Arizona Collins of Kingsport, TN; cousin, Cheri Lawson. The family will receive friends from 5 pm to 7 pm on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Carter Trent Funeral Home, Downtown Kingsport. A funeral service will follow with Rev. Clarence Bear, Rev, Bryant Collins, and Rev. Gene Hammond officiating. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2018 at 11 am at Church Hill Memory Gardens. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:50 am. Pallbearers will be Jeff Housewright, Tony Legg, Chad Bethea, Denton Alexander, and Austin Alexander. Carter Trent Funeral Home, Downtown Kingsport is serving the Johnson Family.
