MICHAEL (MIKE) S. RAMEY Kingsport- Michael (Mike) S. Ramey, 60, of Kingsport, passed away on Monday night (March 4, 2019) at his residence following a brief illness. He was a lifelong resident of Sullivan County. Mike enjoyed going to Bike Week every year and watching NASCAR. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lori Jo Ramey; his parents, Rev. Carl E. Ramey and Doris Page Ramey; his sister, Mary Frances Simpson. Mike Ramey is survived by his son, Michael Gouge; a daughter, Lena Barry; his grandson, Aiden Gouge; siblings, Eugene Ramey and wife, Trudi, Dorothy Duda and husband, Bill, Lois Arrington, Minnie Rhoton, Viola R. Campbell and husband, Bill along with several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins. A graveside service will be held on Thursday (March 7, 2019) at 12 noon at East Lawn Memorial Park with Pastor Freddie Redmond, officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Family and friends attending the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery by 11:45 a.m. You can send an online condolence to the family by visiting www.cartertrent.com.
