BILLIE JEFFERS Kingsport- Billie Jo Vicars Jeffers, 70, of Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord early Thursday morning (April 18, 2019) at Bristol Hospice House. She was a lifelong resident of Kingsport and was a former employee of Kingsport Press for over 33 years. Billie loved to cook and especially enjoyed canning. She was of the Christian faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Clara Vicars; her brother, Johnny Vicars and his wife, Elaiine; her brother-in-law, Lynn Culbertson. Billie Burke Jeffers is survived by her husband, Leon Jeffers; a sister, Connie Culbertson; her brother, Claude Vicars, Jr. and wife, Michelle along with several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Monday (April 22, 2019) from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport. An entombment service will follow on Monday (April 22, 2019) at Oak Hill Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Kingsport Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 3952, Kingsport, TN 37664.
