Vernon Lee Brown
November 13th, 1943 - June 13th, 2019
Vernon Lee Brown, age 75, of Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 13, 2019. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Air Force having served his country during the Vietnam War. He was a 52 year Mason and member of the Yocum Lodge No. 897, F. & A.M. in Evarts, KY. Most of all, he loved being with his family, grandchildren and especially his grandson, Jackson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Mellie Brown; brother, Boyd Brown; sisters, Janice White, June Mills and Evelyn Rogowski. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Susan Brown; 2 sons, Michael Brown and wife, Summer, and Vic Brown and wife, Renee; 3 grandchildren, Emily, Luke and Jackson Brown; sister, Glenna Collett; several nieces and nephews. A military graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at the Mountain Home National Cemetery with American Legion Hammond Post #3/265 performing military rites.
