Lexington, Kentucky Coley Camille Culpepper Hendrix, loving grandmother, mother and wife, returned to her eternal home on September 17, 2015 at the age of 58. She departed this world suddenly and too early in life. Coley was born on June 11, 1957 in Rome, Georgia to Anne and Joel Culpepper. She graduated from East Rome High School in 1975 and attended Floyd Jr. College. She was preceded in death by her father, Joel Culpepper and father-in-law, John Dickson "J.D." Hendrix. She is survived by Gregory John Hendrix whom she married on February 6, 1982. Sons, J.W. (Kristin) Hendrix and Alexander (Brittany) Hendrix of Lexington, Kentucky; granddaughters, Lauryn Elizabeth Hendrix and Paisley Belle Hendrix; mother, Anne Culpepper of Rome, Georgia; mother-in-law, Lou Dale of Lithia Springs, Georgia; mother-in-law, Jerry Hendrix of Douglasville, Georgia; sister, Anna Lucas (John) of Memphis, Tennessee; brothers-in-law, Jeff (Susan) Hendrix and Carlos Burrell both of Douglasville, Georgia; sister-in-law, DeAnne (Randy) Haynes of Fayetteville, Georgia and several nephews and a niece. Coley had an infectious laugh that would cause anyone around to smile. She was a compassionate and kind hearted individual with a strong love for her family and animals. Growing up she had a mischievous streak driving a light pale blue beetle. Coley held many different job titles while in Georgia and later on in Lexington but the one she was most proud of was Grandmother. Many years ago Coley made the heroic decision to become an organ donor. Through this unexpected tragedy the family has comfort in knowing that she has helped save multiple lives. Funeral Information A Memorial Service will be held at the Clark Legacy Center in Nicholasville, Kentucky on Saturday, October 10, 2015. Visitation will be at 1pm, with service to follow at 2pm.
