Frances Lane Johnson

Frances Lane Johnson, 91, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Saturday August 31, 2019. Frances was born on July 8, 1928 in Scott County, Virginia to the late Worley and Lona Lane. She retired from Eastman after several years of working in the cafeteria. Frances was the oldest living member of First Baptist Church of Weber City. Frances was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend to all she knew. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Wm. Jack Johnson; son, Dean Johnson; step mother, Callie Lane; sisters, Grace Bruner and Janie Brown; brothers, Hubert (Jake) Lane and Grover Lane; and son in-law, Roger Kerns. Those left to cherish her memory are daughter, Reta Kerns; son, Wm. Jack Johnson, Jr.; grandchildren, Kellie Egan and husband Lynn, Amber Adams and husband Jared, Eric Johnson, and Alecia Johnson; great grandchildren, Garrett Payne, Gracie Egan, Katie Egan, Jaylie Adams, and Jarren Adams; daughter in-law, Sandy Johnson; special friends, Stanley and Mary McMurray, Larry and Linda Rogers, and the Vicars Family; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 5, 2019 from 6pm to 7pm at Christ Fellowship Church, 260 Victory Lane, Kingsport, Tennessee 37664. A memorial service will follow at 7pm with Joe Mason officiating. Music provided by Kayley and Conner McMillian.
