Hagan Vernon Joyce

Hagan Vernon Joyce, 78, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord early Monday morning, October 7, 2019. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. His passion was cars, specifically mustangs. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bennie Joyce; parents, Bessie Jane Joyce ad Clell Vernon Joyce. Surviving are his loving daughters, Lisa Winegar and husband Jeff and Amanda Joyce (both of Kingsport); his only granddaughter, Taylor Fowler and husband Justin, who shared his love for Mustangs, of Kingsport; sister, Lillian Salley of Kingsport; along with several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 pm to 7 pm on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at Freedom Baptist Church or friends may call anytime at his daughter Lisa’s residence. A funeral service will follow at 7 pm at the church with Rev. Andy Sensabaugh and Rev. Larry Spivey officiating. A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Thursday October 10, 2019 at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Pallbearers will be Blake Hunley, Randall Spivey, David Burke, Justin Fowler, Jeff Winegar and Darrell Bishop. Honorary pallbearer will be Gary Moore. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50 am. Carter-Trent funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is serving the Joyce family.
