A native of Lexington, Kentucky, he was born June 17, 1956 to Barbara Janes Lyman and the late Robert Lancaster. An artist, Bob had so many interests and talents, from flowers and poetry to a musician and songwriter; he was always working on something. What was most interesting is that it was never for anyone but him. Not that he cared for anyone to see or hear his creations; he simply wrote them for his own pleasure.
