Frederick Lee "Fred" Hill
June 15th, 1944 - July 7th, 2013
Obituary Frederick L. "Fred" Hill 69, beloved husband of Pat Hill passed away July 7, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on June 15, 1944 in Philipsburg, PA, he was the son of William A. Hill and Ella Walker Hill. Fred graduated from Philipsburg Osceolla H.S. in 1962 and Lockhaven State College in 1966 with a degree in Science. After working on the Wolf Creek Dam Jamestown, KY repair project, Fred decided to make KY his home. He entered UK for a second degree in accounting where he was awarded Depart Mental Honors. Fred worked in state government for 31 years under five governors as Director of Internal Audit in the Dept. of Finance. He was very proud of the work done in state government and honored to work with many outstanding employees. Fred is survived by his sister, Jacqueline (Denny), brother in law, Brent (Nancy) and son, Matthew Hill. Funeral Information Services on July 14th will be conducted by Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing. There will be a gathering of friends, family and colleagues at 2:00 pm, celebration of life service at 4:00pm, with a reception at 5:00pm. Brad Stone and Brad Allred will be officiating the service.
