Obituary Ken Schmidt, 73, of Lexington, Kentucky and husband of Joan Schmidt, died Saturday, April 28, 2012. He was born May 23, 1938 in Bronx, New York to the late Otto and Helen Roemer Schmidt. In addition to his wife, Ken is survived by his children, Keith Schmidt of Dallas, Texas and Julie Schmidt Benton of Lexington, Kentucky; step daughter, Nancy (Curtis) Ramey of Lexington, Kentucky; sisters, Barbara Hatfield of Louisville, Kentucky and Nancy (Steve) Seitz of Jacksonville, Florida; brother, Art (Kathy) Schmidt of North Carolina; and his grandchildren, Anthony and Avery Benton, and McKenna Jones. www.clarklegacycenter.com Funeral Information To honor Ken's life and legacy, a Gathering of Family and Friends will be 5-9 pm, Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Clark Legacy Center in Brannon Crossing. A time of sharing will start at 6:30 pm.
