Online Obituaries for Frankfort, KY William D. 'Bill' Wingate, 92, husband of Gladys W. Wingate, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2016. A native of Frankfort, he was born on September 11, 1924 to the late Salem Wingate and Lena Belle Herndon Wingate. Bill graduated from Bridgeport High School on 1943, served in the US Army during WWII, and was a member of Grafenburg Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by his daughter Nancy Carol (Scott) Davenport, OH; son David A. Wingate (Carolyn Glaser), Lexington; brother Salem Wingate, Frankfort; grandchildren Christina (Brad) Southworth; Julie Wingate; Brittaney Carol (Mike) Crider; Sadie Carol Davenport; Elaina Carol Davenport; great grandchildren William Southworth; Annabelle Southworth; Natalie Carol Crider; and Mikie Crider. He was preceded in death by his sister Mary E. Patton; and his brothers Scott Wingate; and Ike Wingate. Funeral Information A funeral service will be held 1:00pm Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. Rev. Phil Meade and Rev. Jay Padgett will officiate. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The Deacons of Grafenburg Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 29, 2016 from 10:00am until start of service at the funeral home.
