Susan Elizabeth Fister

Obituary Lexington - Susan E. Fister, 67, of Lexington, passed away on July 17, 2013 at St. Joseph Hospital East, surrounded by her family. Susan was born on June 30, 1946 in Lexington, to the late Raymond and Helen (Wild) Fister. She graduated from the University of Kentucky and worked for the U.S. Navy in Honolulu and the Computer Systems Corporation as computer engineer. She returned to Lexington and cared for her parents with beauty, grace, and love throughout the rest of their lives. Susan was an avid reader and world traveler. She leaves behind her sister Joyce Fister Daley (Terry), her nieces Emily Fister Greco (Christopher) and Margaret Fister, and her great-nieces Sofia and Annamarie Greco. She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Helen Fister, her brother, Patrick Fister, and her nephew, Matthew Fister. A funeral mass celebrating her life will take place at Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Lexington, KY on Friday, July 26 at 1:00 pm. Visitation will take place before the service at 12:00 pm at the church.
